BEWITCHED BICYCLE ATTACK IN BLEAKWOOD CEMETERY
Updated: Oct 21, 2023
Norris Nottle had no idea what was in store for him when he went to pay his last respects to a dear old friend. But as dusk settled across Bleakwood Cemetery, Nottle became aware of an eerie red light piercing the lengthening shadows and an ominous tinkle that echoed amongst the gravestones. The sound was oddly familiar, and peculiarly appropriate given the fate of deceased. For both Linton Spratt and Norris Nottle were keen bicyclists, both friends and rivals in the gathering popularity of pedalling competitions that had begun to capture the population of London's imagination.
